Whether you are just starting out and need help coming up with the right topic (often the hardest part) or have an essay written that needs professional editing, there is a plan just for you. Keep in mind, too, that the Common App essay is just one of many you may need. We also work with students on their personal statements and the auxiliary essays required by specific colleges, medical and law schools.
THE COMMON APP ESSAY: FROM BLANK PAGE TO WINNING ESSAY
Five-hour package includes:
One hour in-person (or Skype) session to brainstorm the topic taking unique life experiences and interests into account to enhance your application's overall narrative. At the end of the session, your student will have a topic and detailed outline to follow.
Four hours follow-up via email, Skype, phone, and/or in person. We will work through three subsequent drafts of the essay, with students submitting each draft via email and then receiving a detailed annotated version and follow-up phone calls to go over the notes.
Total cost: $1,400
Brainstorming and editing for additional essays and personal statements:
Billed at $250 per hour
DETAILED CRITIQUE OF INDIVIDUAL ESSAYS
If you have already written an essay (or personal statements) and would like a detailed critique of the topic, tone, structure and grammar this is the package for you.
Total cost: $300 per essay
